Welcome to Black Umbrella Jewelry. All my handmade items are made by me in my home workshop using sterling silver, fine silver, copper and a collection of high quality turquoise and stones that I’ve collected over the years. All my listings offer thorough descriptions, including size, dimensions and materials used, so that you can make an informed purchase. ** Please take care not to bathe, immerse in water or engage in strenuous activity or exercise with any of my pieces. Handmade jewelry is delicate, especially pieces containing stones.
Some of my jewelry pieces have a patina. I put a thin layer wax on all my pieces to help preserve this patina however, oxygen and everyone's chemistry and oils are different and each piece will age differently depending on the individual. If you want to delay the change in patina of your piece, I suggest storing them in a tightly sealed plastic bag.


Canadian residents will be charged applicable sales tax.
I am currently not accepting custom orders.

Layaway payment plans up to 4 months are available. A non-refundable 25% deposit is required. Please contact me to discuss.


Black Umbrella Jewelry orders are shipped from Toronto, ON using Canada Post or USPS with tracking for orders to US and Canada. For orders to Australia, Europe and everywhere else, items are shipped either using Canada Post Small Packet - International Air or USPS.

** Please contact me BEFORE purchasing if you would like a quote on tracked or faster shipping.

Orders placed typically ship out on Mondays or between 2 and 3 days after an order is placed and are shipped to the address listed on the Etsy invoice. Items ship in a jewelry box and either a bubble mailer or box, depending on quantity and size of purchase.

Items can be shipped with insurance for an additional fee. Please contact me before placing your order to do so.

All items in Canada are shipped regular post with delivery confirmation. Please allow 7 business days for delivery.

US items are shipped via tracked package. Please allow 6 business days.

International items are shipped via small packet - international air. Please allow 12 - 16 business days for delivery.

* I am not responsible for customs delays.

* I do not ship to PO boxes. Please provide a physical address.

Customs and duties are buyer’s responsibility. Please ensure that your country allows the import of silver, precious gems and jewelry from Canada before ordering.

Black Umbrella Jewelry is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. In the event this occurs, please contact me immediately and I will do everything I can to track it down.

Refunds and Exchanges

I do not offer refunds on merchandise. If you receive an item and are unhappy with it, please contact me and I will do my best to come up with a solution that will work for both of us. Please know your ring size before ordering and please look at all listing photos and item descriptions thoroughly. I do not issue refunds because a ring size was chosen by mistake or because of buyer's remorse. All sale items are final sale.
