A beautiful and rare depiction of Saint Joan of Arc in silver and guilloché enamel pendant, circa 1910. It shows Saint Joan in the last moments of her life, on the pyre. with flames and smoke. The back is smooth.
Guilloché enamel is a form of work that involves using a lathe to work the metal into a pattern and then enameling over that pattern. The result is an image that shimmers with life as light bounces off of it. An absolutely beautiful effect. This charm glows and the pink enamel looks a pale lavender in some lighting.
Pendant measures 16.6mm without the bail. Weighs 2.2g. Marked for 935 silver and FBE for Geneva, Switzerland on reverse. You will receive the pictured charm.
