** Please take care not to bathe, immerse in water or engage in strenuous activity or exercise with any of my pieces. Handmade jewelry is delicate, especially pieces containing stones.
Some of our jewelry pieces have a patina. A thin layer wax on all silver handmade pieces helps preserve this patina however, oxygen and everyone's chemistry and oils are different and each piece will age differently depending on the individual. If you want to delay the change in patina of your piece, we suggest storing them in a tightly sealed plastic bag.
Taxes
Canadian residents will be charged applicable sales tax.
Layaway
Layaway is available on full price items above CAD$750 before tax. Please be certain you intend on completing a purchase before entering into a layaway agreement. Layaway consists of 3 equal payments, due within 60 days of the first payment (ex. January 1, February 1, March 1). Failure to remit a payment will mean the item is put back for sale on the website and any payments made are forfeited. Layaway payments are not transferable - once you commit to buying an item, you cannot transfer payments already made to another item. Please email to set up a layaway listing.
Shipping
Black Umbrella Jewelry orders are shipped from Toronto, ON using Chit Chats, Canada Post, USPS or Fedex with tracking for orders to US and Canada. For orders to Australia, Europe and everywhere else, items are shipped either using Chit Chats, Canada Post, USPS or Fedex. Please allow 12-21 business days.
** Please contact me BEFORE purchasing if you would like a quote for Fedex. Orders placed typically ship out between 2 to 3 business days after an order is placed and are shipped to the address listed on the invoice.
If you do not see your country listed at checkout, please reach out for a shipping quote.
* We are not responsible for customs delays and fees.
* We do not ship to PO boxes. Please provide a physical address. Customs and duties are buyer’s responsibility. Please ensure that your country allows the import of silver, gold, precious gems and jewelry from Canada before ordering.
Pricing
My pricing is fixed and is the price you see on the site. My pricing is fair and consistent with current industry pricing. Please consider the cost of precious metals and gems and the time it takes to create, source, obtain, research, photograph and list pieces. Prices may increase with the cost of gold, depending on how long they've been on the site.
Refunds and Exchanges
We do not offer refunds or returns on merchandise. Please know your ring size before ordering and please look at all listing photos and item descriptions thoroughly. We do not issue refunds because a ring size was chosen by mistake or because of buyer's remorse. Please contact us if you would like additional photos or videos to help with your purchase. All items are final sale.
