Beautiful, sparkling early 1800s Georgian foiled paste earrings collet set in higher grade continental silver. The pretty shepherd hook ear wires have a lovely twist pattern.
These are most likely French in origin. Rainbows sparkle in the clear paste - from the front, they flash bright white. From the side, they are slightly darker and have a slightly yellow color. One earring has slightly more darkening than the other viewed at certain angles. Please take a look at all photos - I have attempted to photograph them and capture their flash in different kinds of lighting.
These earrings are about 3/8" in diameter and weigh approximately 2.1g.
