Celestial motifs were very popular in Victorian jewelry designs. During the era, Halley's comet was seen, and named, popularizing a style and renewing interest in astronomy. By the time the comet was seen again in 1910, Edwardian jewellers were continuing the trend in more streamlined designs.
This beautiful 9k gold Edwardian ring features 2 diamonds flanking a central ruby, all in starburst settings. It is in wonderful antique condition and fully hallmarked for Chester, 1902? (I think the date letter is a "B", but it is slightly worn at the bottom). This is ring is a size 0.5, and weighs 1.7g. A perfect gift for a new baby or the ultimate pinky or midi ring for yourself. It can be slightly sized by your jeweler. You will receive the pictured ring.
