The Gold Dust Woman sterling silver moon and star necklace honors style goddess Stevie Nicks.
The star and crescent symbol developed in the iconography of the Hellenistic period and in Byzantium by the 2nd century BC, where the symbol became associated with its patron goddess Artemis-Hecate. In the Roman era, it was used as a representation of Moon goddesses (Selene-Luna or Artemis-Diana).
The polished sterling silver pendant measures approximately 1" wide and 7/8" tall, not including the bail. It hangs on 24" of Italian sterling silver rolo chain and is stamped with sterling silver marking on reverse of crescent.
