The French "Trop subtiliser, on s'égare" translates to "To steal too much, we go astray"... ie. don't be greedy.

This is a wish token made by the Monnaie de Paris c. 1970, designed by the artist Raymond Joly.  On the front, a minotaur pillages a medieval town.  On the reverse, "voeux les plus vifs", meaning "warmest wishes".

These wish tokens were meant to be exchanged between friends and lovers. Cast in bronze and dipped into 22k gold for a very luxurious look, it will be set in a generous 10k yellow gold frame similar to the owl token shown in the last image.

This large pendant will weigh around an estimated 20g and measure 1.25" x 1.25" (without the bail). The token itself is stamped with "BR" for bronze on its base, which will be hidden by the gold frame.  You will receive the pictured token.
