"It is the very error of the moon; she comes more nearer earth than she was wont, and makes men mad." - William Shakespeare
Moonstone has been used in jewelry for civilizations. The Romans believed it came from the solidified rays of the moon. Both Romans and Greeks associated it with lunar deities such as Diana, Selene, Trivia and Hecate, the Queen of the Night. Known as the Traveler's Stone, it is especially protective of those who travel by night.
Moonstone helps in attuning to the normal rhythms of the biological forces of one's body and to utilize natural energy cycles. Specifically, peach moonstone supports the heart as it stimulates the mind, soothing worry and anxiety.
This turquoise stacker features a moonstone with flashes of blues, purples and rainbows. The fine and sterling silver bezel face measures just under 1/2" tall x 3/8" wide and sits on an etched floral sterling silver band. It has been oxidized and polished to enhance the details and is a size 5.5. The inner band is stamped with my maker's mark. You will received the pictured ring.
