Who Moved My Cheese? is a parable by Spencer Johnson about handling change.  It follows four characters - two mice and two "little people" - in a maze, on a hunt for cheese, a metaphor for success and happiness.  When the cheese at their usual spot disappears, the mice quickly adapt and search for new cheese.  While the little people resist, complain and cling to the past, the story teaches us that change is inevitable, and the key to thriving is to anticipate it, adapt quickly and embracing the journey to find new "cheese".

This medallion is inspired by that story, replacing a mouse with a rat as a nod to the "rat race". It is part of a series of parables brought to life in gold using old techniques - from melting the gold, turning it into sheet, sawing the medallion, prepping the gold canvas, carving the bail from wax and its casting and, finally, to the hand engraving (no electricity) and gem setting.

This medallion has been crafted in repurposed 18k yellow gold.  It measures 23.8mm in diameter, is 1.4mm thick and weighs approximately 9.6g.  It is set with 0.02ct natural rubies, 0.019 natural yellow sapphires and a 0.01ct natural full cut diamond.
