This rare Victorian novelty spinner vinaigrette pendant is based on an age old game originating in France called "Effeuiller la Marguerite" or "Daisy Oracle" (ie. "he loves me/he loves me not" game) - rarer still because it is in Italian (these are usually seen in French or English). It features a lovely little enameled daisy with a symbolic petal falling off. The angled panels read:
- Mi ama (he loves me)
- Molto (a lot)
- Con passione (passionately)
- Un poco (a little)
- Non m'ama (he doesn't love me)
This pendant was crafted in silver and measures 33 mm tall (not including the loop) x 11mm at its widest point and weighs 2.8g. The top does not screw off. Evidence of gilding on top and bottom of barrel. New jump ring added. You will receive the pictured pendant.
