The Victorian era often used jewelry to communicate hidden romance and passion. It was during this period that heart shaped padlock jewelry was popularized as a symbol of love, fidelity and devotion.
This beautifully crafted Victorian heart locket is crafted from 14k gold and features a floral spray of an estimated 1.3ct old cut and rosecut diamonds, both on the heart and the bail. On the reverse is a glass compartment that can be removed with fingertips to hold a precious item. This locket has been exquisitely crafted and is in incredible condition. No hallmarks present but thoroughly tested.
The heart itself measures 25mm tall by 23.9mm wide and hands 34mm overall. It weighs 8.9g. You will receive the pictured locket.
