In Ancient Egypt, the ankh, sometimes referred to as the key of life, represented eternal life. The ankh is thought to be the original cross. It is often shown in the hands of important Egyptian figures, such as pharaohs and kings, preserving their immortality and is often depicted in temples, held by important gods such as Osiris, Isis, and Ra. Ankh crosses were traditionally placed in sarcophagi to ensure life after death.
This ankh has been crafted in 18k yellow gold and measures 1 1/8" long from the top of the loop to the bottom, by 5/8" wide at it's widest and weighs 1.7g. It bears no hallmarks but, has been tested via XRF and is guaranteed to be 18k. You will receive the pictured pendant.
