Ostara celebrates the season's change from dark winter to brightening spring, welcoming the fertility of the land. It marks the time when night and day are equal and balanced. The sun's strength increases and life begins anew at this time. This is a time to plant seeds both figuratively and metaphorically.
Plume agates have always reminded me of spring. This special North Ridge plume agate, cut by one of my very favorite lapidary artists, sits in a sterling silver bezel surrounded by cast branches and beads, reminiscent of spring and new buds.
The pendant measures 1 5/8" tall (not including the bail) and 1 5/8" at its widest point. It hangs on a 17" sterling silver Italian chain. The pendant has been oxidized and polished to enhance details. You will receive the pictured necklace.
