The garter motif represents loyalty and memory eternal and became a popular Victorian symbol for mourning, as was the use of black enamel in mourning jewelry. A reminder of a bygone time in wonderful condition.
This scarce antique stickpin was crafted in 9-10k gold (tests). The garter portion measures 16mm x 11.1mm and it measures 70mm overall. It weighs 1.2g. Wear commensurate with age and use. You will receive the pictured stickpin.
