The Egyptian goddess of justice, Ma'at, would weigh the hearts of the newly dead against the weight of a feather to determine the worthiness of their soul. Judges and magistrates of ancient Egypt wore a feather amulet in her honor as an icon of integrity, morality, fairness and truth and ascribed it with magical powers.

The Spirit of Ma’at feather earrings are 1 1/2” long (without the hanging portion) by 5/8” wide at the widest part and lightly oxidized. They are hand stamped on the reverse with my maker’s mark umbrella. You will receive the pictured earrings.
