"Sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset,
Swiftly flow the years. One season following another,
Laden with happiness and tears."
- Sheldon Harnick & Jerry Bock (Fiddler On The Roof)
The sunrise is symbolic of birth, growth, new beginnings of all kinds, resurrection, and even the creation of nearly everything that has a cherished or hoped-for origin. Sunset, on the other hand, tends to be symbolic of endings, death and all things associated with darkness, provides contrast essential for expanding our vision. Both, however, remind us to carpe diem (ie. seize the day).
This vintage signet ring is a wonderful reminder to live life to its fullest - that every day is what you make it. It was crafted in 9k gold and is beautifully engraved with the rays of the sun beaming out from a garnet. The shape and weight make it very comfortable on the finger. The face measures 13.3mm by 12mm and the ring weighs 2.5g. It is a size 7.25 and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1966, along with the maker's mark HG. You will receive the pictured ring.
