This beautiful and rare mourning purse depicts roses in bloom coming out of an urn on both the front and reverse. On on side only are the beaded initials "M.T." and the date 1925. A small eagle decorates the center of the urn.
The top metal frame has wear commensurate with age and is stamped "GER. SILVER" on the interior. The interior is lined in a rose colored velvet and has a small pocket on one side. Large enough to fit your phone and other essentials and you can either double up the chain for a shorter drop or pull the chain through to carry it over your shoulder. The beaded bottom fringe looks to be missing a strand or two (not easily noticeable) but, the body of the purse appears to be intact.
This purse measures 10" long (including the fringe) x 5" wide.
