A rare slice of Canadian jewelry history. This antique circa 1880-1910 trilogy ring was crafted in Montreal by the renowned firm J.R. Harper & Co. (stamped J.R.H. & Co). During this period, Canadian jewellers lacked a formal hallmarking system, so they often used "pseudo-hallmarks" like the crown found inside this band. This clever mark was a nod to the prestige of British imports, effectively "borrowing" the look of authority for a distinctly North American 14k gold standard.

Set in a substantial, buttery 14k yellow gold mounting, the stones are protected and flush with the band. This ring features three hand-faceted Old Mine Cut diamonds. These stones pre-date the modern round brilliant and are known for their chunky facets, high crowns, and incredible inner fire that glows even in low light. Some wear to diamond, commensurate with age and use.  No chips or cracks.

This tapered band design measures 5.55mm high at the front, tapering around the back to 1.5mm high.  It is a size 6.75 and can be sized by your jeweller.  Hallmark engraved on the inside of the shank with engraved "J.R.H & Co." and weighs 3.56g.
