Designed in the first part of the 20th century, spinner charms hit peak popularity in the 1950s. This particular one spins to read "I Love You" and is fashioned out of 9k yellow gold.
This charm weighs 1.1g and measures 15.5mm wide x 17.2mm tall (without the bail). Full hallmarks for Georg Jensen Ltd, London, 1964. Since there is no import mark, this was most likely made in London then, assayed for sale at a Georg Jensen shop.
Georg Jensen was founded in Copenhagen in 1904. At his death in 1935 the smithy was acknowledged as one of the most important silversmiths in the world. The company still makes jewelry today.
