The art of "seeing" is known as "scrying", whereby images are claimed to be seen in crystals and the information interpreted. They were initially made of beryl and were later replaced by rock crystals.
Crystal balls originated in Britain with the Druids in 2000 BC. At that time, celtic tribes were unified by Druids. In the middle ages, many fortune tellers started to use crystals to read the past and predict the future, especially in Central Europe. Hundreds of years later, crystal balls were still in use by royal councillors. Scrying was very popular in the Victorian era, as were automatic writing and seances.
The Fortune Teller sterling silver saddle ring features a handsawn, hand chased and hand engraved crystal ball flanked by 2 hand cut moons overlayed onto an adjustable band. It best fits sizes 7-10 and is 3/4” tall. You will receive the pictured ring.
* Please do not squeeze ends together unless already positioned on finger. To size down, gently push the ends together in an alternating over under motion. To size out, gently pull the ends apart. When removing ring, pull up from the avoiding squeezing the band together.
