It's thought that love tokens originated as early as the 13th century. They are are coins where one side has been smoother down and then hand engraved. Sentimental "messages" could include a lover's initials or monogram, name, dates, or an image meant to remind or for luck. They were often bent to create a wave to try to prevent them from being used as currency.
"Father" was lovingly engraved long ago on a Victorian .05 silver coin that has been set in a custom handmade 10k yellow gold. It measures 17.6mm in diameter and 24.2mm including the bail and weighs 2g. You will receive the pictured pendant.
