“…we lay there together, protected from the rain by the trees crowding overhead, dim and rich in the kind of knowing, possessive way trees have of pressing closer.”

Rainforest Jasper (or rainforest rhyolite) got its name from the striking colors of green, red, brown, yellow, creams and oranges, reminiscent of a scene in a rain forest. It comes from a molten flow of magma from the now extinct Mount Hay volcano near Queensland, Australia about 120 million years ago. The thick rhyolitic magma that escaped from deep within the volcano was heavier and settled through the lighter magma. As it settled towards the bottom, it cooled slower, allowing the formation of spherical and phenocryst crystalline structures to form together.

This stone is said to aid communication of all kinds, helping to listen easily and without distorting the intended message. It is known as a stone of resolution and perseverence. It’s also a great stone for meditation.

The Blackwoods cuff features a striking rainforest jasper cabochon of Rainforest Jasper/Rhyolite set in a 2 1/2” by 1 7/8” hand stamped sterling silver bezel. The size M band is hand stamped sterling silver and measures 6” long with a 1” opening. You will receive the pictured bracelet.

(Pictured on my wrists which are child size – XXS)

PLEASE do not squeeze or pull on the ends of the cuff. Put on by rolling the opening over your wrist.
