An incredibly rare southern Italian Bourbon-era fede ring circa 1830s-1850s, from what was formerly known as The Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. Jewels from this region and period are quite scarce. This ring is crafted in 9-10k rosy gold and set with white and black enamel, which is in excellent condition. The "R" is for "Ricordo", which translates to "Remembrance".
This ring features a beautifully engraved central panel measuring approximately 13.6mm tall by 12mm wide on a 6mm engraved band. This ring is a size 8, weighs 2g and bears a faded hallmark. In wonderful condition for its age. You will receive the pictured ring.
